One of the important and successful projects by #Angela Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Response #Portable Medical Clinic Project supported by #Humen Concern Internationala Canada #HCI The project is implemented by the Foundation in the Directorate of #Al Qafr Assafel, Ibb Governorate, and this remote district is one of the poorest and most in need of many services. The directorate is consisted of many regions which has many villages. Most of these villages' people live in poverty and lack access of most basic services, especially medical and health-care services. The Foundation has chosen the project to be implemented in one of the most in need and suffering areas, #AlNakhla sub-district, which consists of five large villages where no medical services are available and there is not even one health center in it, at least to provide first aid to patients. The situation of the people in those areas is very difficult, as most of them are living in poverty, and even many of them still live in thatched houses. Oftentimes, some of the better-off population are forced to travel long distances and through dirt roads to reach the center directorate or the governorate to help their patients, while the majority of patients are in need and can not transport their patients. Therefore, as a matter of responsibility in addition to religious and humanitarian duty, the foundation has put those remote and needy areas within the priority of its various charitable and humanitarian projects, including this project (Portable Medical Clinic) through which the foundation aims to provide the most important medical and health needs that are necessary for the inhabitance. It also aims to provide full care for mother, child and pregnant women in addition to providing basic routine vaccinations for children and nutritional supplements to children suffering from malnutrition, besides treating all patients, including men and the elderly, and providing them with the necessary medicines. The duration of the project is four months as a first stage in Al-Nakhla sub-district. The foundation hopes that the project will continue in the future and be implemented in the rest of the sub-districts and other villages if sufficient support and funding is provided, God willing. We extend our sincere thanks to the Canadian HCI organization that supports the project, and we also thank the concerned government agencies represented by the Office of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, and the Office of Public Health and Population in the governorate and the directorate for their cooperation and facilitation of procedures. Thanks are due to the Foundation’s team and the medical staff for their efforts, dedication and sincerity in working to make this charitable and humanitarian project a success...
